Important elements in the PfC strategy

Partnership for change brings together some of today’s most inspiring social entrepreneurs, philanthropists and change- makers, both from government, non-government and private business. By creating Partnership for Change, we hope to inspire more private individuals, as well as businesses, public institutions, academia, philanthropists and NGO’s, to develop an understanding of how we can actively participate in creating positive sustainable social change locally, nationally and globally.

The three important elements in the PfC strategy are:

Partnership

Partnership for Change has at its core the ambition to bring about inclusive- ness and generosity in order to use all positive forces available to achieve change. One individual has the pow- er within to ignite a spark, and drive the change process with force, but there is always a need to join forces with other individuals, organisations and also governments.

Ownership

There is normally more than one solution to a problem. Most often the solution is a combination of various methods, policies and efforts made by a large number of agents. By acknowledging this fact, we wish to create an atmosphere where the silos are broken down and where each change agent maintains “ownership” to the solution.

Sustainability

By engaging and bringing in private business, trade organisations, aca- demics, NGOs, social entrepreneurs, government officials, media and artists, we have experienced that real and effective change can be achieved. Through knowledge based efforts, actively relying on research as well as field experience – both from the third sector and the business community – we seek to help build sustainability into the change processes.
